Shvet vastra dhaaran karti ho | Haath mein pushpa-maala leti ho || Mukh par divya prakash chhaaya | Jag ko deti sukh ki maaya ||

You wear white garments and hold a garland of flowers. Divine radiance shines upon your face; you give the world the grace of happiness.

Chaupai 3

Shukravar ko poojan karte | Gud aur chana bhog dharte || Vrat katha sunte dhyaan lagaate | Santoshi maa ki jai-jai gaate ||

They worship on Friday, offer jaggery and gram. They listen to the vrat katha with devotion and sing victory to Santoshi Mata.

Solah Shukravar jo vrat kare | Santoshi maa ki kripa bhare || Udyaapan karke paayen phal | Ghar mein aaye sukh ka pahal ||

Whoever keeps sixteen Friday fasts is filled with Santoshi Ma's grace. Performing the udyapan (conclusion ritual) brings the reward and happiness enters the home.

Vivaah mein aaye adchan jo | Santoshi maa ki pooja dharo || Shighra vivaah hoga sukhkar | Ghar mein aayega sukh ka pahar ||

Whatever obstacle comes in marriage, worship Santoshi Ma. Marriage will happen soon and happily; a time of happiness will come to the home.

Rogi ko deti aarogya maa | Dukhi man ko deti sanyog maa || Bhay-bhit ko deti abhay | Sankat mein karti nirbhay ||

Mother gives health to the sick, resolution to the sorrowful mind. She gives fearlessness to the frightened and makes one brave in trouble.

Grihasthi mein sukh-shanti laaven | Daampatya mein prem badhaaven || Saas-bahu ka jhagda mitaayen | Ghar ko swarg-samaan banaaven ||
